Les Dents du Midi (The Teeth of Noon) are an icon of the Suisse Romande (the French-speaking portion of Switzerland). They are visible from the east end of Lac Léman and the Vallée du Rhône. When skiing or hiking in Les Portes du Soleil and Val d’Illiez they dominate the horizon and are always present in your vision. Their appearance changes with the seasons and weather. The colors change by the hour of day. I have visited in each season and done numerous sketches. These paintings were started "on-site" or "plein-air" and completed in my studio.
